Familiar faces, fond reminiscence, great conversation, delicious food. Sounds like a Conventual Franciscan weekend.
Every two years, the alumni of Mount St. Francis Minor Seminary gather back at the Mount for a reunion. From Friday through Sunday, July 11-13, Friars joined with other alumni and some of their wives for a celebration of their time together.
Fr. Maurus Hauer, OFM Conv., now almost 97 and still going strong, and Stan Schiffle at 94 were the oldest alums in attendance. Other attendees are scattered across the years, up until the minor seminary closed in 1975.
It is always a pleasure to see our old friends when they drop by from time to time. But it’s even better when we’re all together. At some points in the weekend, it’s like we never left.
Peace and all good to all our alumni.
You’re always remembered in our Masses and prayers.
